Couture is an art which involves creating a unique custom-made gown or outfit for the individual. It is a delicate, involved and very personal process which is usually chosen for special occasions, be it a wedding, formal, evening or designer daywear.

During an initial consultation with Jane, she will listen to your thoughts and ideas, and first and foremost determine what you like and/or want in your couture garment. She will take into account the occasion, the season & time of day, colours, fabrics, your budget and most importantly your individual body shape, to begin creating the perfect gown or outfit for you. Once you have approved the sketch design & quote, your measurements will be taken, and then begins the production of your unique couture garment!

Your personal pattern is drafted from your own measurements, followed by the first fitting, a calico "toile" of your garment, where you get to see firsthand on your own body basically how it will look. From here, alterations are made on the pattern before the garment is cut in the final fabric. Further fittings are done in the real version, until both Jane and you are completely satisfied with the finished work of art!

With a distinct emphasis on quality silks, satins, beaded textiles and exquisite laces - a personal favourite, your couture garment will exhibit both the fabric's and your assets to their absolute potential. Designed and fitted by Jane, you can be assured your outfit is in safe hands and is Australian made.
